So much has happened recently. By sending a quarterly update, I am setting an intention to reconnect and share more in case anything I’m doing could be helpful to you or people you know.

Each quarterly update will feature two big ideas on each of my top two areas of interest. Here we go!

Area 1: Operations

I’ve been thinking a lot about how to avoid the delegation trap and have been playing around with the idea of a Curiosity Meeting for more successful delegations. Related, I also believe leaders can better manage the risks of hiring someone with a ton of experience.

Area 2: Neurodiversity at Work

Surprise … I received an autism diagnosis in 2021! Since then, I have been learning more about neurodiversity at work. Some companies are making interesting changes, and I recently launched a newsletter where I share frameworks and actions from what we are uncovering in my 1:1s and roundtables. For example, it’s powerful for companies to encourage senior leadership to speak openly about their neurodivergence. I’m also wondering if neurodivergent employees might be terminated at a disproportionate rates.

In Other News …

1. I’m enjoying reading about how to be a better parent, partner, and leader. Let me know if you have any book recommendations. Best books I’ve read this year: Working Backwards about operations, Nonviolent Communication about building safety while in disagreement, and The Prosperous Coach about business development for solopreneurs.

2. 10 years ago, I learned that my Why has been to support others to create impact by growing into their potential. Executive coaching has been a natural step for me, and I joined the team at Evolution to scale that effort. If you have been interested in working with a coach, email me [email protected] and we can find time to explore the perfect fit for you and your team.

3. I moved to NYC! Would love to catch up IRL and share my latest roast with you.

Hi 👋 I’m Shaun and I help leaders thrive through coaching as well as high-touch engagements. If you are interested in either of the areas I am working on, there’s something new every week. Follow me on LinkedIn for the latest.
